Watch how Jeremy Nobis Revived Skiing in the 90s

Jeremy Nobis started out ski racing, but thanks to Todd, Steve, and the open spot on one of their helis in Alaska, he’s now respected as a pioneer of aggressive big mountain skiing.

Nobis, in all his long-haired glory, brushed off the person giving him the lowdown on sluff management, and proceeded to open the throttle, making Super G turns the whole way down the ridiculously steep face.

Todd and Steve were blown away. So was Powder magazine. They took one of his turns from that line and smacked it onto the cover of their February 1998 issue with the caption, “Jeremy Nobis: The next rock star?” It was a cover that changed the world.
