Full Film: Photographer Stephen Shelesky’s Story in “Out West”

Whether it’s high-energy images of your favorite athletes defying gravity, stunning landscape shots, or intimate portraits of the characters that make the snowsports world go round, Shelesky’s style and talent is undeniable. With equal parts hustle and humility, he has established himself as one of the industry’s most promising up and coming photographers. But his story hasn’t always been polished and perfect. For a long time, photography helped Shelesky deny who he was, acting as a distraction and an outlet for an internal struggle around his sexuality. Out West is a film about the journey to find the courage, confidence and friendship needed to embrace his sexuality and express his true self.
