In the 1990's–a time when skiing was seen as your parent's sport, and snowboarding was taking off with the next generation–the New Canadian Airforce came along and changed skiing forever. The motley crew of Canadians consisting of Mike Douglas, JF Cusson, Vincent Dorian, Philou Poirier, and the late great JP Auclair, and came to Solomon with the idea of a high-performance twin tip ski, and the TenEighty was born.

Being able to land and take off backward was groundbreaking for skiing, and people started throwing the first misty flips, rodeo's and of course JP's signature backflip mutes.
