14 years ago, Chris Benchetler designed a powder ski for Atomic that would change the way an entire generation of skiers moved through snow. The Bent Chetler has now become one the most iconic tools in freeskiing, embraced by freestyle and freeride skiers alike. New for 2022, Atomic introduced a few new members into the family of skis, including a 110mm, 90mm and 85mm waisted option, while keeping the existing 120 and 100 models. With stunning new topsheet art by Chris Benchetler himself, these skis build on an already strong heritage.
The new 110 model is designed to be an everyday tool for aggressive skiers that like to play in deep snow, but who need a ski maneuverable enough to perform when it’s not all just faceshots. It’s the perfect blend of the 120’s deep snow performance and the 100’s playful all-mountain performance, with HRZN Tech tips and tails, a directional twin-tip shape and powder rocker. It’s the ski that Nick McNutt, Jossi Wells, and other harbingers of style will spend most of their seasons on.
The new 90 model is a designed with freestyle skiing in mind and will hold its own in any park and all mountain setting. Like its bigger sibling, the 90 features HRZN tech tips and tails and a more durable edge and sidewall construction for abuse in the park.
Finally, the new 85 model is an excellent choice for intermediate skiers looking to have a ski that will take them anywhere in the mountain or venture into the park.
