Remembering Hawaiian Surf Legend Derek Ho

On Friday July 17th, 2020, legendary Hawaiian surfer Derek Ho passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55. Born in Kailua, Hawaii, Ho was the first native born world surfing champion, winning the 1993 ASP title, as well as the Van's Triple Crown in 1986, 1988, 1990, and 1992.

The Ho family surf legacy is secure in his niece Coco Ho and his nephew Mason Ho, who number among Hawaii's most promising young surfers.
