Remember Bear Grylls? The quirky British dude who managed to get himself in the worst possible situations in the backcountry…on purpose? I feel like I can speak for an entire generation when I say Man vs. Wild was certainly on top of my list of shows to watch in the mid-2000s.

Turns out Grylls is back with a new show on Netflix (it’s 2019 after all) called You Vs. Wild and it’s got an interesting twist: you get to control what Grylls does. Well, sort of. Much like the network’s recent sci-fi series Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, you as the viewer get to make decisions on how each episode progresses. Whether it’s telling Grylls to crawl over thin ice to prevent from breaking through, or other perhaps more interesting decisions, you get to decide the fate of your hero.
Interesting choice from Netflix, and we’re actually pretty stoked to see how this turns out.
