Professional athletes are some of the most particular when it comes to choosing and using gear, and that’s no surprise given that their life often depends on it. Cam Zink certainly falls into the particularly picky category when it comes to choosing what goes into building his bikes, and he outlines exactly right here. While Zink might be best known for hucking huge airs aboard his YT Tues freeride bike, he’s also no stranger to putting down blistering times on race courses aboard a similar, but slightly different bike.
In this particular bike check, Zink details building his YT Tues race bike, focusing on little things that make it much faster than its freeride stablemate.

Cam Zink says:
I haven't had a race bike in few years; the differences between this YT Tues, and my custom YT Tues with Moto/Mullet set-up is astounding. Just a longer top tube, longer seat stay and different suspension tune makes this bike a completely different animal. I wouldn't want to ride Rampage on it, and I'm not sure if it's more fun, but it's definitely faster!
