On July 12th James Foster and Jed Mildon will compete on national television in an attempt to become the first person to land a quadruple backflip. Competition to progress a sport is natural. Bigger, faster, stronger is a mindset that is not new saying to anyone who has attempted to become the best. This version of "competition", in my opinion, is disgusting.

One of the greatest aspects of what makes the action sports world so unique is the community surrounding these spectacles. Say what you want about the recent quad corks in snowboarding, those athletes had the full support of their entire crew. Travis Pastrana, the producer of this Nitro Circus video, had the full support of the X-Games, his family, and friends when he landed the first moto double backflip. This TV special turns this feat into a reality show that is only slightly above the sibling rivalry of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Well, what they are about to do is mindblowing. Yes all that presentation and coverage may try too hard to do it an “epic moment” but hey, arent you covering it too? And everyone will want to watch it so…
Anyway i hope they aren’t pushing way too hard because all the coverage, i imagine a crash trying that could be really hard.
