Nicholi Rogatkin Just Made MTB History At RedBull Joyride

Crankworx Whistler’s ultimate event, RedBull Joyride is always worth a watch, but this year’s event was one for the ages. With Whistler covered a thick haze of forest-fire induced smoke, the best mountain bike slopestyle riders in the world faced off on the biggest and baddest course ever made. After winning two out of the last three Crankworx World Tour stops, Nicholi Rogatkin was faced with the opportunity of being the first rider ever to win the elusive Triple Crown of Slopestyle. Canada’s Brett Rheeder was the only one who stood between him and the prize.

After crashing hard on his first run, Rheeder threw down a flawless second run, but Rogatkin edged him out by a narrow margin on run 2 to take the win and the Triple Crown Title. Rogatkin is now the winningest FMB World Tour athlete with 25 total wins.
