VIDEO: WTF? The New Specialized Video Has Talking Shovels

Well, this one’s a video from Specialized, so unsurprisingly it’s pretty frickin’ weird. We all love some good riding, a good storyline, and even some camera wizardry in our mountain bike flicks, but the crew at Specialized really pulled out all the stops on this one. Are we supposed to interpret this as “trailbuilding through the eyes of the tools themselves,” or what kind of art-house cinema experiment is this? I mean 2:08 is Oscar-worthy. In all honesty though, trailbuilding is vital to what we do as mountain bikers, and we’re stoked about Specialized’s support of trailbuilders and their work through their Soil Searching program.
