VIDEO: Taking on the Megavalache With a Euro #Vanlife Trip

We love these kinds of adventures here at TGR – setting yourself a destination and finding out what happens along the way. Pro mountain bike adventurer Sam Dale shares his story of taking his camping rig across the Alps to go race the famous Megavalanche. On the way, he hit up La Grave (did you know there’s phenomenal biking there?) before rolling up to the start line of the wildest and rawest mountain bike race there is. Dale is convinced the best way to really take a big bite of the Alps is to do it while camping. It allows you to get closer to the spots, to breathe the air and get into the rhythm of the places you’re visiting. After watching this, you might agree. Sam’s approach on and off the bike is refreshingly down-to-earth and a template for anyone wanting to feel the energy of big mountains. But one thing is certain: we can't get over how insanely hectic the start of that race must be.
