This terrifying video out of Sankt Gertraud, Austria shows the moment when a snowboarder triggers an avalanche, and is promptly swept away into some trees.
Thankfully, the video goes on to show the snowboarder shaken but uninjured at the bottom of the slide. If anything, this video should be a cautionary tale about skiing/riding off piste in the wake of big storms such as those which have pounded Europe and many ski areas in western North America.
