Video: Smith Optics ‘Prospecting Idaho’ Season 2 Teasers

August 30, 2011

Smith Optics has its own private Idaho — a 900-acre compound of private ski and snowboarding terrain with snowcats, snowmobiles, cabins, yurts, chainsaws, remote controlled helicopters, 4x4 vans and barrels upon barrels of fun. Below are the ski and snowboard teasers for the second season of the company's Web video series titled "Prospecting Idaho" that will begin dropping mid-September. The two teasers feature some of the same lifestyle footage, but are edited to different songs and show unique perspectives of this shredding paradise. Can't name the song in the snowboard teaser, but the the ski-edit jam is "Memories Of The Future" by the Handsome Furs. The snowboarding teaser utilizes a remote controlled heli to capture great shots of riders cruising down a slope in unison. Hey Smith Optics, can we come this year? We'll sleep on the floor. No big deal.

Smith Optics was founded in 1965 with the creation of the first-ever goggle featuring a sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam. This invention would revolutionize the powder skiing experience allowing diehards to have the time of their lives.
