While filming a street segment in Kamchatka for Far Outwe learned a lot about the remote Russian peninsula. Almost entirely off-limits to outsiders until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the region is home to jagged coastlines and massive active volcanoes abutting the sea—a filmmaker's dream location.

This isn't just a nature doc, though. There is some pretty ridiculous kitesurfing as well. Big spins abound, and the physics of the kite allow for some mind bending in-air pretzels. Paired with a great soundtrack and solid voiceover, Kororo is a diamond in the rough.
