It’s the middle of winter, which means it’s time for some big wave action in Nazaré. This year has been no different, and despite all the current travel challenges, a crew of surfers assembled to ride one of the biggest swells ever seen on the Portuguese coast. January 8, 2022 saw Nazaré truly come to life with offshore conditions and 50-70 foot waves, making it one of the biggest days in recent years. None other than Nic Von Rupp was there to sample the action.
