We’ll admit one of our favorite mountain bike events of the year doesn’t really involve a lot of pro riders. Every year, a group of evil geniuses in France organize a mass-start enduro race that begins atop the Alpe D’Huez glacier, with hundreds of riders navigating a steep snow slope before converging on an arduously long trail descent to the valley floor.
