In yet another very worthy entry to Kayak Session Mag’s 2020 Carnage for All beater reel contest, Italian boater Luca Neri gets pinned under some downed tree branches while running the Germanasca river west of Torino. We don’t speak Italian here, but the point he was trying to make as he realizes his poor line choice was quite clear: “merda merda merda merda.”

Luckily, with the help of his friends, Luca was able to get the tree branch unstuck and escape before matters turned any worse. With rivers running high these days, this is a good reminder to to stay safe on the water this summer!
