The next era of our favorite chair on the mountain is here! Thunder Chair lies at the heart of Jackson Hole. Centrally located, this legendary lift has carried skiers and riders up our slopes since 1970 to access over 1,450 vertical feet of prime terrain: Thunder Bumps, Tower 3, and Grand to name a few. After decades of historic service, it’s time to usher in the next era for Thunder. Our new detachable lift will cut ride time in half to 3.5 minutes, which means less lift line and more on-snow time. As JHMR athlete Jim Ryan puts it, “on an excellent day, you never really feel like you get enough; now, I feel like I might finally be satisfied.” We can relate, Jim. THUNDER will be open for the winter 2022/23 season. See you out there.
