Video: How Does JHMR Run on 100% Wind Power?

As of September 2019, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has been running on 100 percent wind power. The focus on renewable energy has allowed the resort to take a huge step toward a sustainable future. Powering all lift, base and other facilities using wind power is no easy feat, and JHMR pulls the wind power from the Horse Butte Wind Farm just over the border in Idaho. Just four wind turbines power Jackson Hole’s electrical needs for an entire year. TGR athletes and Jackson Hole locals Griffin Post and Caite Zeliff reflect on what it means for the future of our sport.
