Video: Good Vibes and Deep Barrels at the Banzai Pipeline in April

April can be a hit-or-miss month for Hawaiian surfers, but April 2020 was definitely a hit. Almost every surfer in the edit is a North Shore local, and for good reason: Hawaii has asked would-be vacationers to postpone their trips, and has strict quarantine rules in place for anyone traveling to the state. In order to comply, an out-of-state surfer would have to predict the swell at least 14 days in advance, hop on a plane, and quarantine for two weeks, hoping that the swell actually materialized.
