While Cooke City might only be a quick five-hour drive from our home base in Jackson Hole, it might as well be on a different planet. When Tim Durtschi and Kai Jones met up with Parkin Costain to put together their segment for Stoke the Fire, it was clear they had stepped into a whole new world. When you arrive in the tiny town on the Montana/Wyoming border, you pretty much leave your truck in one place for the whole trip, and hop aboard a snowmobile to get around. That snow pony will take you pretty much anywhere, including to the top of some of the most insane backcountry lines in the lower 48.
