Video: Chasing Pow Through Eastern Europe By Train

We’ve seen a lot of ski movie trailers this year, from high-budget full-length offerings like Faction’s The Collective, to more home-grown films like el.makrell’s new film Stanice. This crew from Innsbruck, Austria documented a bit of a different kind of adventure this past winter. While Austria was getting hammered, they always yearned for more, and wanted to travel East into the streets and mountains of the Balkans.

Thinking in terms of sustainability, the crew opted to skip out on driving, instead taking advantage of Europe’s awesome rail network to take the train to each ski destination. They bounced between objectives, chasing snow and good times. The film’s name Stanice is the Bosnian word for “station.” Check out the trailer here, and keep an eye out for the full film dropping soon.
