After Andorra's questionable snow and difficult visibility, this weekend's Freeride World Tour stop in Fieberbrunn, Austria was a breath of fresh air. The snow was deep, the sun was bright, and the riders weren't holding back.
Craig Murray won the Ski Men category with a frankly absurd run, somehow managing to keep his feet under him throughout his numerous tricks and drops. Having taken a scary crash last year on the same face, we're stoked to see Craig showing what he's capable of. He was joined on the podium by Isaac Freeland (second place) and fellow Kiwi Hank Bilous (third place).
Murray's win puts him in fourth place on the overall leaderboard, behind Isaac Freeland, Kristofer Turdell, and Andrew Pollard.
In the Ski Women category, Arianna Tricomi snagged the victory with a stylish run that included a quick 360 and a few grabs. By all appearances, her ankle is back to nearly 100%, which is great news with the season's finale coming up in a couple of weeks. She currently sits atop the overall rankings, closely followed by Hedvig Wessel and Jaclyn Paaso.
The Snowboard Men took two runs in order to make up for the cancellation in Andorra, and Nils Mindnich won both. Gaining 20,000 points in a single day put him easily atop his category's leaderboard, nearly 10,000 points ahead of Victor de le Rue, who sits in second.

With such a solid lead, he's got a great chance of taking the overall title, but nothing is guaranteed until Verbier.
Marion Haerty took the win for the Snowboard Women, as she often does, clinching her category's overall title regardless of what happens in Verbier. She has now won the FWT three times in five years—a pretty solid record.
