Believe it or not, there are still first descents to be had in the Tetons. Despite being on the most popular zones for ski mountaineering in the lower 48, you just have to walk a little further and be a little bolder to find truly untouched slopes. If you’ve ventured deeper into the Tetons, chances are you’ve heard of Adam Fabrikant and Billy Haas - two of the area’s most accomplished mountain guides and skiers. If someone’s out there skiing bold first descents, it’s probably those two. Last spring, they teamed up to forge a new line down Mt. Moran, a popular peak in the northern end of the range.
