Video: 40 Skiers Rescued After Mechanical Failure at Czech Resort

A mechanical failure at Skipark Filipovice over the weekend led to 40 skiers being lowered from the area's only chairlift.  The coordinated effort utilized ski patrol, police, firefighters, and even a police helicopter.  It's unclear exactly what the helicopter was contributing to the rescue effort, but it certainly made for a dramatic scene!

Skipark Filipovice is located in northern Czechia, near the Polish border.  Google maps graphic.
