Unfiltered: Fun and Games in the BC Backcountry

Deep in the heart of British Columbia's Kootenay Rockies lies the small village of Kaslo, populated by under 1000 hardy Canadians (as of 2016). The silver rush responsible for the village's founding might be over, but there's still treasure to be found in the surrounding peaks. White and fluffy treasure, to be exact. With that in mind, Nick McNutt, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, and Johnny Collinson made the pilgrimage up north last February.

Upon arriving, the crew linked up with Stellar Heliskiing, a small heli-op whom TGR has worked with for years. As per usual, Stellar whisked our skiers into a winter wonderland of steep pitches and deep powder. Take a look behind the scenes as Nick, Sage, and Johnny enjoy stellar skiing (ha) and the many joys of backcountry winter camping.
