Troy Brosnan and Myriam Nicole Win Vallnord DH World Cup

This weekend’s UCI DH World Cup event in Vallnord, Andorra will go down in history as one of the best. An absolute nailbiter of a race down a vicious track in perfect conditions left Troy Brosnan atop the men’s podium and Myriam Nicole dominating the women’s field.

Each race was characterized by super tight racing, with competitors edging out the previous by only fractions of a second, holding on to impossible lines and getting faster and faster every time. Spectacular crashes were not out of the question. Aaron Gwin could not match his effort from Leogang, with Greg Minnaar and Danny Hart laying down absolutely blistering runs until Troy Brosnan lined up his perfect run.

Rachel Atherton was able to race again after her shoulder injury at Fort William, and made an impressive comeback to 4th place. Myriam Nicole held off Tahnee Seagrave and Marine Cabirou to take the win on home turf.
