Buckle up, this is going to be one hell of a ride.
Anyone remember the novel snowboarding competition formerly known as the Supernatural tour? It’s getting rebranded. Mark your calendars for January 2021, because the one and only backcountry, free-riding snowboard tour is coming back as The Natural Selection Tour. Not to mention, (or to brag, but to totally brag) our very own Jackson Hole will be the first of three stops for the event. With real terrain, real snowboarding and real good athletes… you know it’s going to be really, really fun.
The tour started out as an idea in 2008 that took place in Jackson Hole, then at Baldface Lodge in 2012 and is being revived nearly ten years later. The competition will include the best male and female snowboarders in the world and will start off in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, then head on to Baldface Lodge in Nelson, British Columbia and finish up at the renowned Tordillo Mountain Lodge in Alaska. In short, we’re not going to be disappointed.

Travis Rice, the brain behind this ingenious idea, claims that the tour aims to “ultimately crown the best all-mountain freestyle rider on the planet,” and also, why wouldn’t you want to see the best athletes in the world competing on the most mind-blowing and physically demanding natural terrain in North America? It’s a no-brainer.
In short, (and you can quote us on this) it may very well be the most anticipated sporting event of the year, and it is definitely one of the biggest things to happen to free-ride snowboarding.
