What it Takes to Capture Kayaking

When Trent and Knox were chosen as the winners of TGR's Ford Tough Fun road trip contest, they wasted no time in assembling a crew that could keep up with them, cameras in hand. Filming stuff like skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking in the backcountry is one thing, but filming whitewater kayaking is a particular nasty beast. Let's put it this way, good kayaking doesn't really exist in comfortable environments. Pair long approaches, technical ropework, impossible communication and the ever-present moisture, and you've got yourself a hell of a day on the job. It's no wonder that all the best kayaking cinematographers are amazing athletes in their own right.

It was an epic experience and we are super fired up on how the trip went. We have had that exact road trip on our minds for about four years now and we have never been able to pull it off for one reason or another.
