TGR traveled to Grand Teton National Park to ski Mt. Moran’s three classic lines; the Sickle, East Horn, and Skillet. An army of athletes, cinematographers, and porters traveled 6 miles across a frozen Jackson Lake just to reach the base of the peak. In order to be successful each group needed its own guide, camera crew, and perfect communication with each other.

The most impressive of these three lines has to be Max Hammer’s descent of the “Sickle”. Rarely skied, the “Sickle” requires a mandatory repel halfway through the line, but because of a high snow year it is not needed. Hammer impresses the whole crew as he navigates a no-fall zone at high speeds, one mistake away from paying the ultimate price.
