This Short Film About Climate Change And Skiing is Mesmerizing

Last winter was the hottest one on record in most parts of the world, with temperatures averaging 8 degrees above normal for the French Alps. This ruined not only ski seasons, as many ski areas struggled to stay open, but challenged the livelihoods of farmers and others. This group of French skiers allied with climate and eco-activist groups took a look at what it means to pursue their passion in a changing world.

It is a film about finding and preserving “l’equilibre naturel” - nature’s balance. They take us on a visual trip across the French Alps, shredding pow and styling huge tricks off enormous booters along the way. It’s mesmerizing.
