Why Waking Up Early for First Tracks Is Worth It

February 22, 2017, was a day for the history books in Squaw Valley, CA. The mountain got 22 inches atop of 18 inches that had fallen the night before, creating the kind of conditions only found in the movies. A handful of local rippers got up early to get first tracks on the infamous Fingers, and stomped some serious lines in full view of the lift.
