This is What A 10-Point Score In Surfing Looks Like

The 2017 Billabong Pro has been firing in Tahiti all weekend. In the first heat of the quarterfinal between Gabriel Medina and Owen Wright, Medina pulled into what looked like an impossible wave, but somehow managed to escape the frothing white wall and then continue slashing turns on the wave. Needless to say, the judges were impressed and awarded him those coveted 10’s across the board. Medina made it all the way to the finals, where Julian Wilson’s simply beautiful surfing won out.
