There’s a New Long Travel 29er in Town: the Scott Ransom

If you haven’t had a chance to hop aboard a bike of the new crop of long-travel 29ers, you’ve been missing out. Scott finally joined the game with a proper 170mm enduro bike with big wheels. The lightweight carbon frame comes with Fox’s NUDE EVOL shock, which we found worked quite well on the shorter-travel Genius, but this one has a trick up its sleeve: a switch to change the compression curve from linear to progressive on the fly. What does that mean? Think of it like a pedaling platform, but better, as it completely changes the feel of the suspension from supportive for hard descents and jumping to super-supple for fast trail riding.
