THE WEDGE: 7/18/24

Ah yes, the infamous wedge of all wedges. Carnage epicenter of the California Coast. One of the dirtiest, ickiest, nastiest breaks in all the continental United States, and it was pumping last week.

If you haven’t been privy to the bone-shattering double-ups that the Wedge has made its name from, look no further. When you start paddling into what looks like a relatively ‘chill’ shorebreaker that turns into a double overhead behemoth with a 12+-foot vertical drop before you can squeak out a “mommy, help!” you know you’re in for a banger… or at least a good smack by the partially exposed sandy bottom below.

We know the Wedge, we respect the Wedge, we love the Wedge. YEW!!
