The Trail

About two years ago, after many years of riding a DH bike, I finally got back on a bike I could pedal. Except unlike the days of fully ridged, or softride stemmed cross country bikes I remember. Today's bikes are nimble, fast, full suspension crafts that transport you effortlessly up, and provide a dynamic kush ride on the way down.

While CC bikes still exist, this new breed dubbed "trail bikes" are the best thing going. I ride a Santa Cruz Blur TRC, with a Fox 36 up front. Still somewhat behind the latest trend, this is still a 26" wheel bike. 27.5's seem to be taking over the market, but while rolling speed may be diminished, the TRC slices and dices.

Enjoying the mountains year round is such a treat. They provide us the place to fly through the air, stop and look around, connect with friends, family, nature, and joy. Skiing, and biking complement each other nicely, that's what you'll see here.
