In this episode of the Monthly Grind, we find ourselves on the famed North Shore of Hawaii and its infamous Pipeline break. World-renowned board shaper Jon Pyzel shares with us the evolution of his craft and how he caters his boards to these massive waves. Pyzel is well known for building boards for aggressive barrel rider John John Florence. John John and his contemporaries have redefined how these big waves are surfed.

This new generation catches waves much later-dropping in steep and getting barreled right off the bat. The results, showcased in this episode of the Monthly Grind, is Pipeline barrel surfing at its finest.
