The Madness Of A Record Surf Day At Nazaré

The rocky coastline of Portugal plays home to one of the largest waves on Earth, just off the small town of Nazaré. This winter's swell forecast called for January 18th to be one of the biggest surf days on record, and it didn't disappoint. The Portuguese powerhouse known locally as Praia do Norte showed up with some of the most powerful waves to ever grace the ocean, and a collection of madmen were there to surf it.
