Teton Gravity Research Debuts Light The Wick in RealD with a Bang!

September 22, 2010

Teton Village, Wyoming – On Saturday, September 18, approximately 2,000 avid TGR fans gathered at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for the world premiere and second showing of TGR’s new ski film, Light The Wick.

Both pre-shows included poster signings and giveaways by the film’s athletes, including Seth Morrison, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Ian McIntosh, Dana Flahr, Sammy Carlson, Dylan Hood, Dash Longe, Rachael Burks, Todd Ligare, Daron Rahlves, John Spriggs, Callum Pettit, Chris Benchetler and Shroder Baker. Amidst deafening cheers, several lucky winners went home with skis from Atomic and Volkl, as well as other great swag.

The cheering continued throughout the film as viewers were treated to incredible pow shots, cliff stomping and riding down seemingly vertical spines. Sage Cattabriga-Alosa’s back flip flat spin over a crevasse in the virgin terrain of Petersburg, AK had the crowd holding their breath before breaking into screams as he landed.

Though there were many contenders, the highlight of the film was the highly anticipated 3D segment, filmed at Stevens Pass, WA. Projected in Light The Wick World Premiere, Teton Village, Wy
