Coming back after a big injury in 2012, Sammy realized competition skiing wasn't the way he wanted to push the sport, but it was the video parts and big mountain terrain where he would make his mark. This transition led to filming with TGR everywhere from Alaskan spines to BC pillow lines for the award-winning Sammy C Project. Fellow Oregon-bread skier and freeski legend Eric Pollard calls Carlson one of the most well-rounded and defining characters of this generation of skiing.
