Swiss Town Dusted with Chocolate after Lindt Factory Malfunction

Residents of the Swiss town of Olten are used to dustings of snow on their cars and houses, but were surprised earlier this week to find a dusting of brown particles accumulating on outdoor surfaces. Anyone brave enough to sample the dust would have been surprised to taste the unmistakable flavor of chocloate.

The Lindt & Spruengli company has since confirmed that a ventilation system defect led to particulates from roasted cocoa nibs escaping the factory, which were then blown across the town by strong winds. The ventilation system has since been fixed, and the company has offered to pay for any necessary cleaning of cocoa powder-covered surfaces.
