Surviving a Day with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Rener Gracie

Imagine you’re a Jiu Jitsu novice, slipping into the gi and tying up your white belt for the very first time before stepping onto the mat for a roll with Rener Gracie, the grandson of Hélio Gracie, the father of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Yeah, I’d be pretty nervous too. Lucky for Magnus Midtbø, Rener is about the friendliest guy ever, and was an amazing instructor. As a complete novice of the sport (art?) it was incredible watching and listening to someone who is a part of the Gracie family tree explain basic BJJ moves.

For a little brush up on the fundamentals of BJJ, I could think of no better video. Enjoy.
