Flashback Friday: Surfing Slurpee Waves In Nantucket

Earlier this month, the East Coast got acquainted with a little environmental phenomenon known as a "bomb cyclone." Temperatures reached record lows up and down the East Coast from -18 in Vermont to '30s and snow in Florida. 

Nantucket, Massachusetts-based photographer Jonathan Nimerfroh knew this would mean a good chance for the rare slurpee waves that he famously captured several years ago off the island.
