Submit Your Entry to the 2019 TGR Grom Contest
Popular Stories
Every year since 2010, TGR has challenged talented groms to produce and submit a video showcasing their skiing and/or riding. This year is no exception, and we're now accepting submissions from the next generation of skiers and snowboarders until August 31st at tetongravity.com/grom. Entrants compete for one of two Grand Prizes (one male and one female) and for a runner-up prize (of which there is only one). Each month we'll choose a favorite edit to win a TGR apparel prize pack. To be eligible, post your submission to social media with the #TGRgrom hashtag.
The Grand Prizes include a featured spot on TGR’s upcoming film tour, a full ski or snowboard setup, and a TGR apparel prize pack. The runner-up prize is a full ski or snowboard setup and an apparel prize pack.
The rules are simple: Athletes may submit one sub-three-minute ski or snowboard edit per week. Submissions must include the Grom Contest bumper
(available here). Participants must have the rights to all music used in their edit(s) and must secure permission from filmers to submit their footage. The contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.
Participants must have been under the age of 18 on May 1st, 2019. Participants aged 12 or under must have a parent or legal guardian submit their edit and submit
this signed waiver to confirm that they have read and agree to these rules.
Teton Gravity Research athletes, staff and production team members will review the videos and pick the first place and grand prize winners. Members of the TGR production team will choose the monthly winners. Quality of action and level of riding are the main deciding factors. A tight edit with your best footage will probably score better with the judges. Length of video is not a deciding factor. We need to see enough to see your skills.
