TGR’s Todd Jones Talks About Truth and Healing in Andy Irons: Kissed By God

Finding a heavy truth and portraying it to a wide audience is something every documentary filmmaker aspires to, yet in reality, it’s something that is extremely difficult to pull off. In the case of Andy Irons, digging up that truth proved not only hard, but quite emotional for TGR co-directors Todd and Steve Jones over the 3-year project.

Todd Jones caught up with Swell Season Surf Radio to chat about what went into creating TGR’s latest project, revealing how gaining access to the Irons family and Andy’s closest friends helped everyone come to terms with Andy’s death.

Get tickets to see Andy Irons: Kissed By God on May 31 only, TGR's latest film about bipolar disorder and opioid addiction as seen through the life of three-time world champion surfer Andy Irons.
