The rumors are true, the lifts are still spinning. While most have traded their skis for bikes, a dedicated few resorts are keeping the dream of a never-ending winter alive. For those of you not ready to hang up the planks, here's where you can still get your late-season turns in.
Timberline Lodge, Oregon
For the crew at Timberline, summer skiing is the main event. This isn't a bonus weekend; it's prime time on the Palmer snowfield. Known for its legendary summer park scene and high-alpine glacier riding, Timberline offers top-to-bottom laps long after everyone else has melted out. They're typically spinning lifts deep into August, so there's no rush, but why wait? The sun is out, and the slush is perfect.
Hours: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., seven days a week.
Lifts: Magic Mile and Palmer
Features: Mile Park and Mile Public Pipe
Mammoth Mountain, California

Mammoth is holding onto winter until June 15th. With Chair 23 still accessing some of the best high-altitude terrain in the country, the spring conditions are all-time. It's not just about the skiing, either. Mammoth is serving up the "trifecta" – skiing, biking, and golfing all in the same day. Get your laps in early before hitting the bike park and then sinking a few putts. Talk about a perfect day.
Closing Day: June 15 Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., daily. Lifts: Chair 23
Arapahoe Basin, Colorado

A-Basin is keeping the party going for two more weekends. This is your last chance to experience the quintessential spring scene at "The Legend." The vibe is high, the snow is soft, and the infamous pond skim spot, Lake Reveal, is officially open for business. It's going to be a classic Colorado closing couple of weekends you won't want to miss.
Closing Day: June 15 Operating Weekends: June 6-8 & June 13-15 Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lifts: Black Mountain Express and Lenawee Express
Beartooth Basin, Wyoming

For the core skier, Beartooth Basin is a pilgrimage. This is not your typical resort experience; it's lift-accessed backcountry skiing on the iconic Beartooth Highway. With two platter tows servicing expert and intermediate terrain, it’s a raw, unfiltered adventure. Last year, they couldn't open due to low snow, but this season they are back and the stoke is high. Tickets are limited to 100 skiers a day and sell out fast, so lock yours in.
Projected Closing: June 22
Tickets: Limited daily, purchase in advance.
