The 2022 Beijing Olympics Will Completely Be On Artificial Snow

The 2022 games hosted in Beijing, China will be the first Winter Olympics to be held on 100% man-made snow. The event will take place in the Zhangjiakou and Yanqing Zones outside of the city. Unfortunately, this region averages about two inches of snow a season.

Because of the lack of snowfall in the area, there will be no opportunities to haul in additional snow from a higher elevation for contingency maintenance. The racecourses will have to rely on a stockpile of man-made snow throughout the duration of the Games.

While older reports indicated that water supply wouldn’t be sufficient for snowmaking, improvements seem to have been made that would allow for it for 2022. This was confirmed by the Chinese resort officials, who additionally pointed out that the South Korean and Japanese national ski teams recently used the host mountain as their training grounds.

The selection committees for the olympics are a complete joke.  To award the Winter Olympics to a city and region averaging two inches of snow shows why they all wear rollex’s and three hundred dollar shoes while the kids competing are the children of the privileged, or are living out of their truck.  They are hand in hand with FIFA for the most corrupt organization in sports
