The Snow League Secures $15 Million in Funding

The Snow League, the first professional winter sports league dedicated exclusively to snowboarding and freeskiing, announced today a $15 million funding round.

Backed by Top-Tier Investors

The funding round was led by Left Lane Capital, with participation from a lineup of high-profile investors, including Will Ventures, Ares Management funds, David Blitzer’s Bolt Ventures, and Ryan Sports Ventures. Additional backing came from Rich Kleiman and Kevin Durant’s Boardroom Sports Holdings, Peter Hirschmann of League One Volleyball, and Kuvare Holdings.

The Snow League stated:

 "The investment will accelerate the league’s expansion, enhance fan engagement, and set a new standard for athlete development and live entertainment in winter sports." 

Shaun White: His Vision for the Future

Founded by legendary snowboarder Shaun White, The Snow League aims to bring top-tier snowboarding and freeskiing talent to the forefront. Its debut season kicks off on March 7-8 in Aspen, with elite athletes competing in four halfpipe events at iconic resorts around the world. Confirmed athletes include Ayumu Hirano (JPN), Queralt Castellet (ESP), Maddie Mastro (USA), and Valentino Guseli (AUS).

Shaun White commented:

A League for Athletes and Fans

The Snow League is committed to elevating the sport by focusing on athlete development, fan engagement, and premium live entertainment. Events will be broadcast on NBC Sports and Peacock, delivering unparalleled access to snowboarding and freeskiing’s biggest stars.
