The present meets the future in Faction’s first premier film of the 20/21 season, as masters Alex Hall, Antti Ollila, Daniel Hanka, and Ben Buratti meet up with prodigies Matej Svancer, Tim Sivignon and Alexis Ghisleni for an unforgettable session in Saas-Fee.
The result is a six-minute, action-packed display spanning two generations, as the pros usher in the next wave of freeskiing talent. With a plethora of medals and award-winning film projects under their belts, these household names have no trouble showing the young guns how it’s done.
Hailing from four countries – the USA, Finland, the Czech Republic, and France – each of these athletes boasts their own signature style and a mind-blowing range of tricks. Despite an average age of just 25, their experience shows, as they lay down their finest tricks for this Saas-Fee session.
Matej Svancer, Alexis Ghisleni and Tim Sivignon may be young — aged just 16, 17 and 17, respectively — but they pack talent and ambition far beyond their years. Alexis and Tim grew up training and filming together in the freeski mecca of La Clusaz, France, and last year made their debut Faction film appearance in THE COLLECTIVE. Originally from the Czech Republic, Matej is now usually found slaying at his home resort of Absolut Park, Austria. This year he took home big air gold at the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne. These young skiers are already pushing the boundaries of the sport to new levels and we look forward to seeing where their careers will take them.
