After a bit of a hiatus, snow has returned to Jackson! | Nic Alegre photo.
If time on snow is the barometer of success for your winter, Jackson Hole has been the place to be. As TGR co-founder Todd Jones says, "Lift lines haven't been this short since the 90’s." Now that Miracle March is well underway, snow and music is on the menu for closing out the season in style. In preparation for the upcoming Rendezvous Fest spring music festival with guitar hero Ben Harper, The Wailers, Fitz and The Tantrums, Cold War Kids and more, here’s a great way to make the most of the remaining weeks of skiing!

Winter has finally returned to Jackson Hole, with 20 inches falling in 24 hours just a few days ago, and much more on the way. We’re convinced that Spring is the best time to be skiing our home mountain, thanks to longer hours of daylight, warmer temps, and abundant snowfall to freshen things up again!

After two years on the backburner thanks to the pandemic, Rendezvous Fest triumphantly returns April 1-2, 2022. American singer-songwriter Brett Dennen will kick off the festival on April 1 before Indie pop darlings Fitz and The Tantrums will headline the event’s first night of performances on Friday. On Saturday, reggae icons The Wailers and alternative rock mainstays Cold War Kids will take the stage leading up to Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals closing the festival. The event is free of charge for general admission guests across both venues and VIP tickets are available for a premium experience.

JHMR encourages visitors to purchase their day tickets online and in advance. Reservations are REQUIRED for both Ikon and Mountain Collective passholders. As always, JHMR passholders will not be required to make a reservation and can ski or ride on the days as indicated on the pass type purchased. With COVID and social distancing protocols constantly fluctuating during the winter season, JHMR opted to take a more conservative approach and limit capacity in 2021-22 as it did the year before. The mountain will continue to do this for 22/23 to enhance the guest experience. This strategy allows JHMR to ensure guests have convenient access to lifts, world-class terrain and on-mountain services during their visit. The goal is to provide the best possible experience for guests while visiting JHMR – basically, short lift lines. Due to demand, JHMR encourages all potential guests to make reservations as required for its multi-resort pass products or buy tickets in advance.

Imagine this: you sit in immovable traffic, waiting to go skiing. You sip your cooling coffee, take a bite of your local on-the-way coffee shop burrito, and curse both the snow and the traffic gods for not blessing you with either plentiful snow or clear passage. Your car idles as you turn up the radio and

So what actually is a via ferrata? Back in World War 1, a network of climbing routes was built in the Italian Dolomites to move soldiers and equipment through the incredibly rugged terrain of the Alps. The word literally translates to the “Iron Path” – a nod to the miles of metal rungs and cables used to protect these routes and make otherwise impassable vertical terrain accessible. Following the war, many of these routes remained, and became a new way for recreationalists to reach craggy

I’ve been to Jackson Hole for decades and hands down the best for skiing. Love the music festivals, people. Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for an awesome vibe for skiing.
